American Red Cross Blood Drive

Every day, there are people who count on blood to be available to save lives.  Accident victims, premature babies, people undergoing cancer treatment, organ recipients and many others rely on the generosity of blood donors to ensure that blood is available when it's needed.

Thanks to everyone who showed up on May 9th to donate to a good cause!

The need is constant.  The gratification is instant.  Give blood.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month.  Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States.  More than 145,000 new cases were diagnosed in 2010 and more than 49,000 died from this disease each year over the past five years.  (See link http://www.cdc.gov/Features/ColorectalAwareness/).

Suburban Buick GMC is joining the cause by hosting a spaghetti dinner.  All proceeds raised at this dinner will be donated to Chris 4 Life, a colon cancer research foundation.  The mission of this foundation is to raise awareness of colon cancer and to find a cure.  The donation will be made in memory of Erica Paul, who recently lost her battle against colon cancer.

Please come out and show your support and help raise awareness.

Boys and Girls Club

Suburban Buick GMC recently completed the 2010 Wish List of the Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County by donating a dozen tables, 3 sets of ping pong paddles and 5 calculators.  Lisa Fresard presented the items to Sally Owen, Senior Vice President of Development, on Wednesday, December 15, 2010.

Suburban Buick GMC recently gathered new, unwrapped toys to donate to the 2010 United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign.  Along with employees, many Suburban service customers and Ferndale neighbors generously contributed to the campaign.

Chris Barberi, Suburban Buick GMC Used Car Sales Manager, states “Our goal was to fill the back of this 2011 GMC pick-up.  Hundreds of area children will be smiling Christmas Day because of the generosity of our employees and our friends and neighbors.”
